Hesse is a fanmade character for the series Hetalia: Axis Powers created by Himaruya Hidekaz. He is a desolved, retired nation and one of Germany's brothers. In 2011, he was given the human name Christoph Beilschimdt.

Hesse was quite tall and he had long blonde hair usually up in a messy bun with a long strand of hair sticking out and a prominent scar on his right cheek which he had gotten from a fight. He mostly wore a dark green military coat, with a dress shirt underneath. He also wore white trousers, knee-high black boots and black gloves.
Personality and Interests[]
Germany is said to have inherited Hesse's stubbornness. But aside from that, it is possible that Germany also inherited Hesse's eye color.
Hesse was killed and reincarnated the most among his brothers. After one of Hesse's bosses died, he died and was reincarnated into four territories and also known as his sons, Hesse-Kassel, Hesse-Darmstadt , Hesse-Rheinfels and Hesse-Marburg, all whom eventually died as well due to constant conflicts. When Hesse was alive, it was said that he was fun-loving, trustworthy and reliable as a soldier.

Prussia[]
Having respected him before dying, Hesse had a close relationship with his brother. However, Hesse's son, Darmschadt, fought against Prussia on Austria's side, causing Prussia to question even to this day if Hesse really looked at him as a brother. Hesse-Kassel was also annexed by Prussia, along with Hesse-Homburg, another one of Hesse's sons who declared independence from Darmstadt .
Britain/England[]
Kassel, one of Hesse's sons, had a boss who rented out 19,000 soldiers to Britain as the country's treasury was depleted. These 19,000 soldiers fought under the British flag as Hessian soldiers.
America[]
Darmstadt and Nassau (who was formed when Homburg, Kassel and another Germanic state Frankfurt died when they were annexed by Prussia and was reincarnated again) were called Greater Hesse by America. However, Greater Hesse was renamed to Hessen by Germany a year later.

- Hesse's birthday, 4 November, corresponds with the date Greater Hesse was officially renamed Hessen.
- Hesse's death anniversary, 31 March, corresponds with the date of Philip the Magnimous's death, 31 March 1567.
- It is still unknown if Hesse was reincarnated as a state of Germany.
- Among all of Hesse's sons, Darmschadt and Kassel were the ones that did not get along with each other the most. At one point they argued over their younger brother Marburg and fought against each other in the Thirty Years' War.
